BOOKWORMS
It will certainly be a challenge for any future year-end meeting to match the exciting and informative program we experienced at our recent Bookworm's meeting. Our guest speaker was Whitby author Amanda McKee, whose book There and Back Again was just recently published. This is a personal story of her life and struggle with the debilitating condition of Anxiety. She decided to set pen to paper and write her story with the intention that it might help others. Her talk focused on the complex process involved in self-publishing, the essential choices to be made, the details to consider and the on-going process of marketing.
Hearing an author speak about her work was a truly rare experience and one greatly appreciated by all the Bookworms present. The photo on the left shows Amanda at the front left with Phyllis, the hostess for our annual “garden party” on her right, surrounded by some of the members of the Bookworms – Pat, Marlene, Bernice, Barb and Maria.
